TRADECRAFT: The Strategy of Tension
The Concept
If a leader wants to cancel an election, they cannot just say “I am cancelling the election.” People would revolt. Instead, they must make the people believe that an election is dangerous. This is called The Strategy of Tension.
The Mechanism:
-
Create the Chaos: The state uses “Agents Provocateurs” (undercover agents) to incite violence at protests, or allows gangs to riot unchecked.
-
Amplify the Fear: The media (controlled by the state) screams “CIVIL WAR IMMINENT!” and “THE STREETS ARE UNSAFE!”
-
The Solution: The Leader steps in and says, “I love democracy, but we cannot have an election while the streets are burning. For your safety, we must delay the vote until order is restored.”
-
The Result: The public, terrified of the violence, accepts the dictatorship as a temporary “safety measure.”
CASE STUDY: The “Minneapolis Incident”
Analyzing the recent events (Jan 2026).
The Official Story:
-
Claim: “ICE agents were attacked by domestic terrorists and defended themselves.”
-
Result: The Government floods the city with more troops, citing “Law and Order.”
The Tradecraft Audit:
-
Visual Forensics: Multiple camera angles show the “terrorist” was unarmed. The car drove off anyway and no one was injured by the car, proving the defense of “if we didn’t shoot her she would have ran us over and killed us” False.
-
Source Check: The “Official Report” contradicts the video evidence.
-
The Pattern: This creates a feedback loop.
-
The State kills a citizen -> The People protest -> The State calls it a “Riot” -> The State sends more troops -> The State says “It’s too dangerous to vote.”
-
The Warning Sign: If you hear a leader say: “We need stability before we can have democracy,” you are witnessing the Strategy of Tension.
